Sequoia Union High School District partners with the County of San Mateo's Department of Emergency Management (DEM) to provide emergency preparedness resources for the District community.

Sign up for SMC Alert, San Mateo County's primary alert and warning system used to contact you during urgent or emergency situations. Alerts are sent via email, text, or voice message.

Public Safety agencies throughout San Mateo County use Genasys (formerly known as Zonehaven) to communicate areas that are being evacuated due to fire or other emergencies. Download the Genasys Protect app and identify your zone number and be familiar with how to access the mapping program within the app so you can track evacuation zones as evacuations are ordered. This is not an alert and warning system, rather it can be a source of additional information that can help provide direction in times of emergency.
