Board Notes highlights key information and actions from the Sequoia Union High School District board meetings. These are not the official board minutes, which will be approved by the Board at a subsequent board meeting. Board agendas can be viewed here. 
 

Recognitions

 
Superintendent Leach recognized the Menlo-Atherton High School Cheer Team and Coaches Averi Westbrook and Danielle Daniels. The cheer team grew from only three students a few years ago to 28 students today. The team shared a cheer with the Board of Trustees and attendees.
 

Board Action and Discussion Items

  • The Board approved all items on the Consent Calendar.
  • The Board held a Public Hearing on the Petition Reneweal from Summit Preparatory Charter School. Nine members of the public testified in favor of the renewal and Summit Principal Mary Beth Thompson gave an overview presentation.
  • The Board heard an overview and discussed first readings of a proposed Revised Board Bylaw, and proposed board policies. The Board agreed that all items could return to the Board for second readings and adoption on the consent agenda.
  • The Board approved a provisional internship permit for teaching candidates.
