The Central Coast Section (CCS) and California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) expect updated Youth Sports guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) prior to the start of the school year. Until further guidance is received, SUHSD Athletics will begin as normally scheduled, and follow the Health & Safety measures outlined above (i.e. masks are optional outdoors for all in K-12 school settings).
Note that unvaccinated, asymptomatic students that are determined to be “close contacts” will not be allowed to participate in any extracurricular activities, including athletics, for ten days.
For reference, the CDPH’s previously issued guidance can be located by clicking here. For more information or if you have questions, please contact your school’s Athletic Department.
