Summer Programs for Incoming 9th Graders
Please note: The programs listed for each school site are for students who will be attending that high school in the fall, and are subject to change.
- Compass
Compass is a summer program to bridge the transition between 8th and 9th grade. Students are selected by reading (1000>lexile score) and math scores (lacking evidence in 2+ domains on the MIRA). This program is for selected students. If your student qualifies, you will receive a letter and application via mail.
- Elevate (Carlmont ONLY)
Two Different Courses Offered: Algebra I and Common Core Math - Rigorous math preparationThe program raises college awareness and motivation of the students through its college-going culture reinforced with college students in the classroom, college visits, college tutors, motivational guest speakers, and student/parent college nights. The program is rigorous in its academics, assessment and in keeping students on track. Please see Summer Programs tab for more details.
